RSDSA is holding its first global, virtual walk! Through EveryDayHero, we will be able to set up team pages that correspond with the MapMyFitness, MapMyRun, MapMyWalk, and other “MapMy” apps on smartphones. The smartphone GPS will track how far you walk, run, roll, dance, or move. You can share these updates to your social media pages to get everyone involved. People can donate right to your page and your team. All you have to do is activate the app. Some people will be using the Periscope app to live stream their walks for you to see.
- Tagline: #ConquerPain 1 Step At A Time
- Dates: Saturday, November 7 – Saturday, November 21
- Where: WORLDWIDE. Wherever you are!

How to sign up. Click the Register Now link above and download the MapMyFitness, MapMyWalk, MapMyRun, OR MapMyHike app through your phones app store. Directions will be posted to link them soon. Then, spread the word through social media and get your friends, family, and whoever else you know to donate to your page! Through the virtual walk, we will have people broadcasting live through Periscope. For many people with CRPS/RSD, something as simple as walking is excruciatingly painful. During our National Awareness Month, we’ve decided to make that pain a part of something empowering. For two weeks, from November 7th through the 21st, we’re asking that you join us at RSDSA as we walk together to conquer pain, one person at a time, one step at a time. Track your walk from your home, your office, your school, or wherever else your feet, your walker, or your chair take you. The contributions we receive will fund research, educate health professionals, increase awareness, and enable us to provide help and hope to those living with CRPS/RSD. - Contact: Sammie Barrett at SBarrett@rsds.insctest1.com with any questions.
